Are you feeling the need to recharge and rejuvenate? Consider a wellness retreat in Turks and Caicos, one of our favorite destinations. Because, sometimes, we’re all guilty of not taking the best care of ourselves mentally and emotionally. We stay busy and distracted, and often times we put other people’s needs before our own.
If you’re not familiar with Turks, it’s made up of over 40 tiny, uninhabited islands, but don’t let that overwhelm you. Just plan on going to Providenciales (Provo), which is only 38 square miles and has two of the world’s best beaches (read about them here).
Key Caribe has gorgeous Turks Villas located in Provo’s best locations, including Grace Bay Beach. And, luxury concierge services are provided to make all of your most tranquil retreat dreams happen.
To get started, book a beautiful, private beachfront Villa and check out some itinerary ideas for your wellness retreat below. And don’t worry about finding enough space for a large group of friends or family. Villa Sentosa can accommodate up to 16 guests!
Wellness Retreat for the Mind, Body + Soul
In-Villa Yoga and Reiki Sessions
It’s not a wellness retreat without morning yoga. Glow Fitness offers mobile services to any location and that includes your Villa. Have a daily group yoga session, or, switch it up with a group fitness session and a personal trainer.
Ayur Spa will send an instructor to your villa for a customized group yoga session. Their team takes personalization seriously, and you’ll have a brief consult first to tell them exactly what your needs are.
Ayru Spa can send a Reiki practitioner for 30 minute treatments. If you’re not familiar with the healing benefits of Reiki, it’s a spiritual form of natural healing. By having your chakras cleansed and balanced, you’ll experience physical, emotional and mental benefits during your session. Reiki helps your mind and body relax so as to reach a deep feeling of rejuvenation. (Personally, I would highly recommend including this as part of a wellness retreat.)
Saving Grace Villa has a Studio room that can be used for yoga/fitness, and a private deck that overlooks the beach!
In-Villa Spa Treatments
You can also have the luxury of a full-service spa brought directly to you. Teona Spa will send one (or more) of their therapists to set up to your villa with equipment and ambiance. They offer a day of pampering, which is 8 hours of rejuvenation. Or, ideally, you could have a daily spa treatment during your wellness retreat.
For example, their Signature Massage would be great for the first or second day. It’s an intense massage that will get your body fully relaxed, meaning you can easily slip into vacation mode and “disconnect.” Then there are nourishing skin treatments like mud wraps and aromatherapy hot stone treatments.
Teona Spa uses unique spa products that are made from nature’s elements, like mud, sea salt, stones and essential oils. So, their Ocean Breeze Marine treatment (authentic to its name!) would be incredibly relaxing to have in the late afternoon before dinner.
Villa Turquoise has plenty of space to recreate a “mobile spa” and one that’s preferably outdoors by the pool or beach.
Nature Adventures
You can’t go to Turks without exploring, and 1 or 2 outdoor excursions could be very rejuvenating if you choose the right ones suited for your group.
Book a half day boat outing and cruise around with the local islanders. Experience Turks through their eyes as you visit beautiful cays and hidden spots for snorkeling. (Salt water is very cleansing, energetically speaking!) A full day is just enough time for exploring and visiting the more remote and uninhabited islands like French Cay and West Caicos.
Take a swim under the moonlight in your private pool (like the one in Amazing Grace, which is 50 feet and heated!) go cycling or on an ATV tour, birdwatching, explore caves and sinkholes. There’s so much to experience in Turks, and being in nature is very grounding and healing, no matter what you’re doing.
Healthy Detox with Clean Eating
And don’t worry about lifting a finger or even planning menus.
With a private chef, you’ll only need to roll out of bed each morning to a healthy breakfast of fresh juices and yogurt bowls. An assortment of nuts, seeds, and fresh fruit for the toppings would be filling but still light and full of protein.
In between spa treatments and activities, ask the chef to have small bites ready for everyone to snack on. Veggies and hummus, fruit plates, tomatoes with a sprinkle of sea salt? Ceviche with a side of plantains? (Which is so good!)
Have a late pool-side lunch of a quinoa salad or some jerk chicken wraps. For dinner, fresh salmon or shrimp dishes with a lot of Caribbean flavor. A private dinner on the beach, or a BBQ, would be a memorable event for a bash on your last night in Turks. Start the fun at sunset with some appetizers and cocktails.
Really, you can just give the chef an idea of what you want and let them work their magic!
Villa Conch has some incredible indoor and outdoor dining areas. Plus an outdoor barbeque and an outdoor bar! Cocktails, please!
Although wellness is a state of mind and body that can be reached wherever you are, being in a soothing, natural environment will get you there faster. Even if you are technically on “island time.”
When you book with Key Caribe, concierge service is included as part of your luxury Villa services. Contact reservations@keycaribe.com to book your Villa and arrange a custom wellness retreat of a lifetime.
