Leeward Settlement is one of the largest communities on the island of Providenciales, which belongs to the country of Turks & Caicos.
This lovely community is known for having some of the most luxurious rental homes and villas in Turks & Caicos, and for its proximity to the famed Leeward Beach. A peaceful, quiet neighborhood, Leeward Settlement gives its short-term and long-term occupants a true taste of paradise.
Located on the island’s northeast corner, Leeward Settlement is situated near Leeward Highway, which is the main roadway in Providenciales. You can follow it through the heart of the island to reach beaches, historic sites, and other attractions in every corner.
What to do in Leeward Settlement
The luxury villas in Leeward Settlement have no shortage of amenities to keep you satisfied and occupied. Nearly all of these fabulous vacation homes have their own private swimming pools. In addition, many feature gyms, jacuzzis, spa rooms, and outdoor fire pits.

Leeward Beach
When you would rather take a dip in the ocean instead of in your private pool, head to Leeward Beach. Some say it’s the most beautiful beach in all of Turks & Caicos. You’ll see from the photo below that Leeward Beach is coated with sparkling snow-like white sand, and the water is a spectacular shade of turquoise-blue. These sandy shores are so stunning, you’ll feel as though you’re stepping into a picture from a magazine.

Despite the fact that it’s so incredibly gorgeous, Leeward Beach is generally not crowded. Most of the tourists who visit it are staying at the exclusive Leeward Settlement community. For this reason, many have chosen to hold weddings or vow-renewal ceremonies there.
The sand has a powdery consistency, which makes it great for walking on, even with bare feet! It’s so soft, you might even end up taking a nap on this beach. The water is generally calm and good for swimming, even for young children. Shells, including large conch shells, can be found along the beach and in the water.
Leeward Beach is also a great place to take part in water activities such as jet-skiing, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, boating, and more.
Eco Tours
Many different types of eco tours are available near Leeward Settlement, including a trip to an iguana farm, where rock iguanas live in a protected environment, and an outing to the Provo Conch Farm (also known as Caicos Conch Farm), where Caribbean Queen conches are raised. It is the only conch farm of its kind in the world.
A sunset cruise

Another wonderful activity to experience in Leeward Settlement is a sunset cruise. It’s a relaxing way to end your day with your traveling buddies, or a romantic beginning to the evening with your significant other. You can book one of these cruises right from the Leeward dock.
