It’s important to mention the fact that Cupecoy Bay is a “swimsuit optional” beach. Some have even described it as a “nude beach”. Therefore, it should be avoided by families with children. In addition, the middle section (which is more secluded) is known for being frequented by couples.

High Tide

Cupecoy Bay Beach is a great beach for explorers who love to climb up and around rock formations and sandstone cliffs. However, these can be dangerous for children, or even adults who aren’t wearing proper footwear. You should be especially careful during high tide, as the waves can get very strong. In addition, at times windy weather can make the ocean at Cupecoy Bay difficult to swim in.
